Sick Daze

I have the pleasure today of overseeing Andrew's first sick day from school. We got hit by a nasty stomach bug last night so Andrew and I enjoyed Polar Express last night between trips to the bathroom. Dorthea wisely determined that this would be a good time to get out of town and headed for the coast on Wednesday for a PE Conference. In the last 12 hours I have learned some interesting things...

1. That plastic cover over the mattress actually works.
2. When you wash pillows they come out a very different shape than when they went in.
3. There is no substitute for Mommy when you are sick, but Daddy will do in a pinch.
4. A little boy and a puppy can monopolize a lot of real estate on a king size bed.
5. Andrew can entertain himself regardless of the circumstances (see picture).

Andrew is on the mend and in much better spirits today.
